Info and tipps for your beer tent trip

There are 14 big and 21 small tents on the Munich Oktoberfest. On weekend they open at 9.00 a.m., on weekdays at 10.00 a.m. The tents close at 11.30 p.m. The last beer is sold at 10.30 p.m. Only the wine tent is open until 1.00 a.m. and sells beer until 0.15 a.m. The entrance to all tents is FREE and you don’t have to buy any tickets.

Entering the beer tent WITH reservation

Reservations for seats in the tents can be done from December ONLY at the respective tents. You can NOT make any reservations via Oktoberfest.de.
Please remember to do your reservation as soon as possible because the tents are fully booked very soon. You can only reserve whole tables for 10 persons. The reservation is free, but you have to buy beer- and food-coupons in advance for 20,00 – 80,00€  per person depending on the tent and the time.

The contact to the respective tents and more information about them can be found here:

Entering the beer tent WITHOUT reservation

Of course you can also enter the tents without any reservation. But please notice that free seats are very rare and that tents are often closing early because of overfilling. Without a reservation you may not be allowed to enter an overfilled tent and without a place to sit you may not order beer or food. So please keep in mind to come before 3.00 p.m. on weekdays and before 10.00 a.m. on weekends or earlier. Food and beverages can only be payed in cash.
