Official 200 year Jubilee Stein released!

Oktoberfest Promoters are proudly presenting the 200th anniversary Oktoberfest stein

It took more than two years for Munich’s mayor Christian Ude, Paulaner CEO Andreas Steinfatt and numerous aides to arrange a procedure for the jubilee Oktoberfest. Finally they agreed on a program and are now able to celebrate the anniversary program with the new anniversary-stein.

Pictured on the jubilee-stein "200 Years Oktoberfest" is King Ludwig I. and his wife Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. Their wedding was the occasion for the first Oktoberfest. On the left next to the royal Bavarian couple is the "Muenchner Kindl" (part of the city arms), on the other side is a citizen of Munich in his traditional costume. There are also some horses on the stein to remind of the horserace which was held to celebrate the very first Oktoberfest.
The stein is made of clay with a massive tin cap. It is handmade by the company Rastal.
