The Oktoberfest 2015 roundup
The Oktoberfest 2015 - a relaxed autumm-Wiesn with a lot of local visitorsThe Oktoberfest 2015 is history and officials call it a "relaxed autumn-Wiesn with a lot of locals". About 5.9 million guests from Munich and all over the world visited the world's largest annual fair.
Of course, the 5.9 million visitors also brought a lot of hunger and thirst with them:
114 oxen, 50 calves and 7.7 million liters of beer were consumed.
Tent security stopped a dazzling 110.000 people form taking their mug home with them.
The most popular (legal) souvenirs were the collectors' stone mug, hairbands with flowers and pins.
„Liebeskummer lohnt sich nicht“, „Tage wie dieser“,„Fürstenfeld“ and „Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit“.
The Lost and Found office can, as usual, come up with some very surprising finds. Apart from 600 passports, 580 wallets, 320 mobile phones, 220 bags and rucksacks, 18 cameras, 230 glasses and 45 pieces of jewelry and watches, there are also some unusual items, some of them still waiting to be collected by their rightful owner:
Two wedding-rings, one brand new iPhone 6 and a 4 tickets for the sold out football match between Bayern Munich and Hannover 96.
The top finds of the Oktoberfest 2015 are: A dog, two dirndl-dresses, two pair of leathertrousers, a "GoPro Kamera" and a lot more
However, there was no one left behind at the Missing Children Office:21 kids and teenagers were taken care of by the Red Cross or municipal authorities, until they get back to theire parents.
