Oktoberfest - ein Fest der Landeshauptstadt München

The municipal cleaning service for residents

The city of Munich offers a free cleaning service for neighbors of the Oktoberfest.

The Department of Labor and Economic Development (RAW) of the city of Munich offers a cleaning hotline for residents during the Wiesn. RAW are responding to calls from the residents around Theresienwiese who have frequently complained about fouling or other pollution by visitors to the Wiesn on their property or in house entrances and driveways.

Municipal cleaning service for private residences

If you live in the neighborhood of the Theresienwiese and your private property, gate or house entrance has been polluted by Wiesn guests, you can go to this page: https://www.wirtschaft-muenchen.de/reinigung-anwohner-oktoberfest-2022/ (german, status 2022).

There one can select the own street and report a pollution. All orders received by 10 a.m. will be processed on the same day.

When necessary: Ringing the hotline is all you need to do

During the Oktoberfest period, a mobile cleaning team with a vehicle and high-pressure cleaner is on standby daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The team cleans private paths up to the front door and driveways up to the garage door, but not sidewalks or public street areas.

Who can use this service?

The cleaning team's area of operation lies in the immediate vicinity of the Theresienwiese. This area is bounded to the north by Bayerstraße and Landsbergerstraße, to the east by Paul-Heysestraße, Pettenkoferstraße and Goethestraße, to the south by Hans-Fischerstraße and Lindwurmstraße, and to the west by Ganghoferstraße, Holzapfelstraße and Gollierstraße.

Important: Non-updated information on this page refers to Oktoberfest 2019. There was no Oktoberfest in 2020, neither was in 2021 due to the Corona pandemic.
