The municipal cleaning service for residents

Public cleanliness around the Theresienwiese

The Department of Labor and Economic Development (RAW) of the city of Munich offers a cleaning hotline for residents during the Oktoberfest. RAW are responding to calls from the residents around Theresienwiese who have frequently complained about pollution by visitors to the Oktoberfest on their property or in house entrances and driveways.

Report contamination

If you live in the neighborhood of the Theresienwiese and your private property, gate or house entrance has been polluted by Oktoberfest guests, then you can request a cleaning service. Under the cleaning form you can select your own street and report pollution. All orders received by 10 a.m. will be processed on the same day.

When do the cleaning teams work?

During the Oktoberfest period, a mobile cleaning team with a vehicle and high-pressure cleaner is on standby daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The team cleans private paths up to the front door and driveways up to the garage door, but not sidewalks or public street areas.

Who can use this service?

The cleaning team's area of operation lies in the immediate vicinity of the Theresienwiese. This area is bounded to the north by Bayerstrasse and Landsbergerstrasse, to the east by Paul-Heysestrasse, Pettenkoferstrasse and Goethestrasse, to the south by Hans-Fischerstrasse and Lindwurmstrasse, and to the west by Ganghoferstrasse, Holzapfelstrasse and Gollierstrasse.

If there is contamination outside the cleaning area, please contact the street cleaning department (233-96 296) or the in-house caretakers.
