"It's set - he never has to call before." At the end of the 1980s, the regular guest even had his own telephone connection put at the table. At that time, as an employee of a sanitary company, he was still there with corporate customers - a few glasses of beer made business much easier . For the telephone, a box was installed on a column near the table; the key was given to the regular waitress. "That worked fine for five, six years - then the mobile phones came," says Werner.
