Oktoberfest - ein Fest der Landeshauptstadt München

The emotional Wiesn farewell 2019

Tears, classics and big feelings at the end of the Oktoberfest

When an Oktoberfest with the title "Qualitätswiesn" and many atmospheric days says goodbye, then it is clear that it will be wistful on the last evening: So beautiful was the traditional Wiesn-Kehraus 2019!

In the Schottenhamel, for example, the lights were first traditionally extinguished around 10:30 p.m. and Reinhard Fendrich's "Weils'd a Herz hast wia a Bergwerk" celebrated the classic, contemplative Wiesn finale with sparklers. But the Wiesn wasn't finished yet - because after the thanks of the festival hosts Christian and Michael Schottenhamel to guests and above all employees they rocked once more: With several encores the two celebrated together with Wiesn boss Clemens Baumgärtner to Queens "Don´t Stop Me Now" on stage.

After a few encores, the speaker for work and economy was also challenged himself: He sovereignly conducted the Schwarzfischer band, which celebrated the 70th anniversary of Wiesn this year. The Oktoberfest 2019 ended with the Bavarian anthem in the Schottenhamel Festhalle.
