Quality and tradition: Poschner’s Roast Duck and Chicken

Here there are not only delicious poultry dishes to enjoy, but also something to look at: the new facade, redesigned in 2016, features many details inspired by Wiesn history.

What’s special: the facade tells the history of the Wiesn

Poschner’s Roast Duck and Chicken is a real eyecatcher at the Wiesn. The tent returned to Oktoberfest with a new design in 2016. Looking good: the redesigned facade. It tells the story of the Poschner family’s more than 80 years of Oktoberfest tradition, in conjunction with local big names in Wiesn history. On the interior, landlord-family Luff makes sure that guests feel at home: When the sun shines, the electric roof is opened.

The audience: families and foodies

Family-friendliness is a top priority at Poschner’s. The small tent not only offers an inexpensive lunch at lunchtime, but also has changing tables and pushchair parking spaces. Little guests also choose from a kids’ menu and receive a small free gift on their visit to the tent. Adults will also feel right at home at Poschner’s: From 7 pm, bands from the Bavarian uplands create a traditional Oktoberfest atmosphere.

The menu: show grill, organic food and beer from wooden barrels

At Poschner’s, the traditional and modern poultry dishes have been prepared using the same recipe since our great-grandparents’ generation. And you can tell! By the way: on the open show grill in the kitchen, visitors can watch the poultry being cooked before their eyes. If you value ecologically farmed and organic food, this is the place for you. A large selection of foods on the menu is certified organic. There are also vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu. Nevertheless, old favorites remain as popular as ever.

Only here: accessibility for everyone

In 2018, Poschner’s was the first Wiesn tent to be awarded the “Bayern barrierefrei – Wir sind dabei” (“Accessible Bavaria – We’re in”) seal for accessibility. The Luff family, who own the business, have made a special effort to ensure that everyone feels at home. As a result, all the entrances are accessible and there is space for wheelchair users to maneuver, as well as menus in Braille, a disabled restroom and extra parking spaces for wheelchairs. Respect! Hühnerbraterei Poschner is the first festival tent in Germany to receive the "DEHOGA Umweltcheck" in gold for environmentally conscious and sustainable actions. The tent operation is climate neutral.
