Beverage prices are not set by the city

Drinks prices are not set by the City of Munich. However, as the organizer of the Oktoberfest, the city checks the prices charged by the restaurateurs to ensure they are reasonable. To do this, it compares the prices with those of the large gastronomic establishments in the Munich city area. For beer, these prices are between 7.70 euros and 13.40 euros per liter of export beer.
