The ride will be on display at the fairground for the first time.

Ahoy, sailors!

The gondolas, shaped like ships, not only turn forwards but also backwards and sideways – all in a rapid rollercoaster ride. Speed, twists and turns and thrills: the Happy Sailor is not for landlubbers, but for anyone looking for a kick.

Its elaborate design also makes it a real eye-catcher: 12 plastic figures – one of which talks, two spout water, and six move – together with the central fountain create a maritime flair and countless photo opportunities.

The Happy Sailor was built in 1979 by the renowned Mack company (Europa-Park). To this day, it is the last and only one of its kind in Germany – and truly one of a kind. Incidentally, it has never been seen at Oktoberfest, which makes it even more special.

Who is the Happy Sailor for?

Whether you're a wild teenager, an adrenaline junkie, or a sailor of tomorrow, the happy sailor is a must for anyone who enjoys speed and action. Children aged 8 and above can ride alone, while younger adventurers aged 6 and above must be accompanied by an adult. But one thing is certain: anyone who wants an unforgettable ride will get their money's worth here.

Happy Sailor for smart alecks

Since 1979, the Happy Sailor has been thrilling visitors with its unique design and spectacular ride. Built by the long-established Mack company, it is considered a cult ride. As the only one of its kind in Germany, it causes a sensation wherever it goes – and is waiting to write new legends at folk festivals.
