Arrive centrally by long distance bus

Long-distance buses travel to Munich from all major cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Journeys to Munich can also be found in many international timetables. The connections are usually cheaper than by train, and there is no need to search for a parking space by car. Best of all, most long-distance buses arrive at and depart from Munich's Central Bus Station (ZOB) at Hackerbrücke. It couldn't be closer, because from here it's only a ten-minute walk to the gates of the Theresienwiese. The route is well signposted. Or you can simply follow the other Oktoberfest visitors in the direction of the Theresienwiese.
