City raffles off 20 places for the tapping at the Oktoberfest

As part of the city's birthday celebrations on June 14 and 15, the Department of Labor and Economic Development is raffling off ten times two seats to the tapping at the Oktoberfest 2025. The winners will be present at the opening of the Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Ratsboxe of the Festhalle Schottenhamel and will receive an invitation to a Maß of beer and a chicken.

Entry cards for the prize draw will be available from Thursday, May 15, at the City Information Office in the town hall on Marienplatz. Simply pick up one of the cards, fill it out completely and legibly and drop it in the raffle box set up there. Participation in the raffle is possible until Thursday, June 12, 6 pm. Persons aged 18 and over with their main residence in Munich are eligible to take part.

The Oktoberfest boss draws the winners on Marienplatz

On Sunday, June 15, at 3 p.m., Dr. Christian Scharpf, Head of the Department of Labour and Economic Affairs and Oktoberfest Director, will draw the tickets on the stage at Marienplatz and announce the winners. In keeping with the motto of the city's birthday “Glitz, Gloria und Genuss”, he will be supported by Royal Highnesses Ludwig I and Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. The winner will be notified by post. The town information office in the town hall is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
