The Oktoberfest is being dismantled

After 16 days of festivities, Oktoberfest will be dismantled according to a fixed schedule until November 20.

Beer tents must be completely dismantled by November 20.

By the end of November, nothing will remain of the structures built for Oktoberfest 2026.

There are deadlines for the individual sectors by which they must have left the Theresienwiese. The brewery tents and other large catering establishments at the Oktoberfest must vacate the site by November 20. Brewery tents and other large catering establishments at the Oktoberfest located in the Tollwood Winter Festival area must be dismantled by October 30. This also applies to businesses on the Oidn Wiesn.

Coffee tents, chicken roasters, sausage and snack halls, and amusement rides must leave the Wiesn by October 16, while other tenant-owned businesses must leave by October 9. Mast sites must be cleared by October 6. Residential, packing, and machine trailers, as well as other motor vehicles, must also vacate the festival grounds by the dates specified.

Any fixtures installed on the grounds, such as foundations and basins, must be removed, and all excavations and holes must be filled in. Waste disposal during the dismantling of the festival is governed by the commercial and construction waste disposal regulations of the City of Munich.

The City of Munich would like to thank all guests and all Munich residents for their understanding regarding the necessary closures at Theresienwiese.

  • Until October 22 (12 noon): completely closed.
  • October 22 (12 noon) until October 31:
    • Closed Monday–Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
    • Open Saturday and Sunday throughout.
  • From November 20: open to traffic without restrictions.

North-south crossing via Schaustellerstraße

  • Open to traffic without restrictions from October 22.
  • Depending on the progress of construction, attempts will be made to reopen the north-south crossing via Schaustellerstraße earlier.
