The Musikantenzelt with heart, pub feeling and real enjoyment
A lively place full of Bavarian folk music and local sounds, living tradition and genuine culture. Here, Bavarian joie de vivre meets craftsmanship, warmth and a passion for sustainable food from the region. The tapped Augustiner Oktoberfest beer from the wooden barrel ensures the best atmosphere.

At the Oidn Wiesn - the festival tent with a real pub atmosphere
Under the motto “To eternal life”, the tent invites guests from all over the world into a familiar and cozy atmosphere that combines dancing, music and culinary delights. The tent, built in-house for the Oide Wiesn and designed by the renowned architectural firm Wildsfeuer, is visually reminiscent of a traditional tavern. A large dance floor and a technically modern stage invite you to dance and listen - very close to the action. A “sky” made of wood and fabric towers above everything, reflecting the motto: “Heavenly good and devilishly hearty!” With room for almost 3,000 guests, the Boandlkramerei is a new home for all those who want to experience Bavaria and its culture with all their senses.
Music to join in, celebrate and feel - 2025: Alexander Duda taps in
With over 80 different groups, from classical folk music to the home sound, the Boandlkramerei® is deeply rooted in the Bavarian folk music scene. Traditional sounds reinterpreted with groups such as “Die kleinen Egerländer”, ‘DeSchoWieda’, “Loisach Marci”, “Cubaboarische 2.0” and the Bavarian brass band Loamsiada. For folk dance enthusiasts, the “Dellnhauser Musikanten & Katharina Mayer” or “Die Ochsentreiber & Vroni Schweikl” await their fans. On public holidays or family days, there is a family program to marvel at and take part in. Guest bands, many brass bands and the “Luisss Leitn Musi” play on the beer garden stage, while there is also music, dancing and laughter in the marquee.
Alexander Duda, the actor who plays Brandner Kaspar in Munich's Volkstheater, taps the Augustiner wooden barrel at the opening. The Bavarian actor is known from the Löwengrube and above all as the boss “Achziger” in the Rosenheim Cops.
Cuisine with heart - regional, organic and home-grown
Head chef Petar Folic selects the best Bavarian organic produce with passion and the highest standards - wherever possible, it finds its way into his dishes. He is particularly proud of the vegetables that grow in beds around Munich especially for the guests of the Boandlkramerei® - fresh, vibrant and with all the power of nature. He wants to serve Bavaria, but not just roast pork with dumplings, as you can find on every corner. No - it shows the unexpected diversity of our local cuisine: from modern Bavarian cuisine to lovingly reinterpreted classics and creative vegan dishes. Because Bavaria has so much more to offer - full of flavors, stories and passion. Every dish tells a story - authentic, bold and with a lot of heart! Straight from nature to the plate.
The Schönigers - a family of festival hosts with tradition
The Schöniger family of festival hosts has been on the road at large and small folk festivals since 1971. As a result, a family business with tradition, warmth and joie de vivre has grown, bringing with it concentrated experience in implementation and passion. Peter and Petra Schöniger have been the hosts of the Festhalle Bayernland at the Munich Spring Festival for 33 years. In 2024, a dream came true for the landlords and they created the Boandlkramerei® as another marquee especially for the Oide Wiesn. Both have been bringing Wiesn experience with them since 1992 through their Schönigers Schmankerl Treff snack bar. Their son Luis Schöniger joined them in 2025 - combining many years of experience with innovative ideas and a dynamic future.
