Once again this year - the Boandlkramerei Musikantenzelt of the Schöniger family.

At the Oidn Wiesn - the festival tent with a real pub atmosphere

Under the motto “To Eternal Life,” the tent welcomes guests from all over the world into a warm and cozy atmosphere where dancing, music, and culinary delights come together. The tent, built in-house for the Oide Wiesn and designed by the renowned architectural firm Wildsfeuer, visually resembles a traditional tavern. A large dance floor and a state-of-the-art stage invite guests to dance along and listen—right in the thick of the action. Towering above it all is a “heaven” made of wood and fabric that reflects the motto: “Heavenly good and devilishly hearty!” With room for nearly 3,000 guests, the Boandlkramerei is a new home for everyone who wants to experience Bavaria and its culture with all their senses.

Music to join in, celebrate along with, and feel along with – 2026: Roland Hefter kicks things off

With over 80 different groups, ranging from classical folk music to regional sounds, Boandlkramerei® is deeply rooted in the Bavarian folk music scene. Traditional sounds reimagined by groups such as “Die Kapelle Kaiserschmarrn,” “DeSchoWieda,” “Loisach Marci,” “Cubaboarische 2.0,” as well as other highlights like “Allgäu 6” and “ScheinEilig.” Special guests include the “Original Hoch- und Deutschmeister”—a famous traditional Austrian band from Vienna. For folk dance enthusiasts, the “Dellnhauser Musikanten & Katharina Mayer” are waiting to entertain their fans. On holidays and family days, a family program takes place. On the beer garden stage, guest bands, numerous brass ensembles, and “Luisss Leitn Musi” take turns performing, while inside the festival tent, people are also making music, dancing, and laughing.

This year, Roland Hefter — a true Munich native — will be tapping the first keg at our festival. The musician, musical cabaret artist, and Munich City Council member has close ties to Oktoberfest. He has already paid musical tribute to the Wiesn several times in his songs and, as a great friend of the “Oidn Wiesn,” can be seen regularly on stage there.

Cuisine with Heart—Regional, Organic, and Grown on Our Own Farm

At the Boandlkramerei, we cook with vegetables grown on our own farm, select organic products from the region, and ingredients from our partners. Even the chickens come from our own farm. The cuisine combines the best of both worlds: authentic tavern classics and modern Bavarian dishes, reinterpreted with great attention to detail. Whether it’s crispy chicken, tender onion-crusted roast beef, vegetarian delicacies, or creative vegan specialties—all are served with the smooth Augustiner Oktoberfest beer, traditionally poured from a wooden barrel.

The Schönigers - a family of festival hosts with tradition

The Schöniger family of festival hosts has been participating in festivals large and small since 1971. Over time, this has grown into a family business rooted in tradition, warmth, and a zest for life—one that brings a wealth of experience in event management and a deep passion for what they do. Peter and Petra Schöniger have been the festival hosts at the Festhalle Bayernland during Munich’s Spring Festival for 33 years. In 2024, a dream came true for the festival hosts when they created the Boandlkramerei® as an additional festival tent specifically for the Oide Wiesn. Both have been bringing their Oktoberfest experience to the table since 1992 through their snack stand, Schönigers Schmankerl Treff. Their son, Luis Schöniger, joined the team in 2025 — combining years of experience with innovative ideas and a dynamic future.
